A desktop application that holds a money-lending business's whole book: borrowers, loans, repayments, collateral and the cash position, on one computer.

A money-lending business needs one place for its whole book: who borrowed what, when it falls due, what has been repaid, what is being held as security, and how much cash is actually on hand at the end of the day.
Ledger is that place. It installs on the office computer and keeps its records on that machine rather than on a rented server, so the business keeps working whether or not the connection does.
Twelve modules behind one sidebar, in a quiet cream and deep-green theme that stays readable through a full working day. Nothing is ever hard-deleted — mistakes are voided and kept — and the app writes a snapshot to the computer every time it starts and every time anything is saved.
Borrowers, loans, payments, collateral held as security, operational costs and outside funding, each with its own module and all feeding the same figures.
Interest margin, paperwork cost and due date set on issue. Part-payments split between principal and interest. Renewals, voids, and automatic roll-over when a loan passes its date.
A daily opening and closing balance that moves with every loan paid out, payment taken and cost recorded, alongside reports that export to CSV, Excel or PDF.
Administrator, Manager, Loan Officer, Cashier and Viewer roles. Deletions by anyone else become approval requests, and an audit log keeps every action with the user and time against it.
The daily screens: the loan book, a borrower's full history, and the staff accounts behind it.
